Q: Why the display screen is black when I have connected the cable with my laptop?

A: Hey Dear, you may try the following steps to see if it helps:

  1. Check if you plug into the right USB C port (the one with USB 3.1 Gen 1);
  2. Check if the display needs to change the input source manually;
  3. Check if your device needs to upload the driver. (USB port);
  4. Check if the HDMI to HDMI cable works in good conditions. If the problem remains, please email support@tesmax.com for more solutions.

Q: Is the connector shield bonded all the way around the cable shield, like with foil tape, or just with a single, pigtail wire?

A: Yes, the shielding is from the connector, to the zinc-alloy case in the head, and then to the shielding of the cable. All are soldered together. So all wires are protected. As for such Ultra High Speed certified HDMI Cable, the shielding is top in the industry. If you want to know more about this topic please give us message at support@tesmax.com.

Q: I have an lg 65 tv, roku ultra and sonos playbar. i keep getting hdcp error message. are these cables hdcp 2.2 and isf certified?

A: As long as the cable has enough brandwidth, HDCP passthrough without problem. HDCP 2.2 is something in HDMI 2.0 era, which only 18Gpbs. This cable is HDMI 2.1 with 48Gpbs, much more than HDCP 2.2 needs.

Q: 1920×1080 240 hz refresh rate pc gaming monitor. This wire good to go? I ran this on old hdmi 2 wire with no probs. Wanna ask anyways, thx in advance.

A: Sure. This cable supports that format. However, please make sure your graphic card’s and monitor’s HDMI ports support that. Sometimes the highest format is achievable via DisplayPort only, not HDMI port. We also have DP cable please check it out.
